Best brand storytelling

Looking for a way to widen your reach and gain a larger audience? Try best brand storytelling.  Storytelling plays a major role in content marketing and is considered as one of the most effective methods to strengthen your brand and ultimately grow your audience. With it, you can breathe life into your products and services by making them part of a compelling story you narrate to your target audience. If the story captures your audience’s interest, then the chances of them being hooked to your brand increases.

It’s all about emotional branding through storytelling. The way a person feels about your product or service along with the way you tell your story will determine whether they purchase your product or not. With that said, here are the five best brand storytelling practices that will help you gain a larger audience:

  • Make sure your stories cover the basics.

The manner in which you structure your story affects the response of your audience. Make sure to establish a proper beginning, middle, and end; present a relatable main character; put in some conflict to keep the reader’s interest; and lastly, give the reader something to take away from the story. Your story must be easy to read, providing enough information without overwhelming your audience.

  • Your story is not all about your brand features.

Another good rule of thumb is to avoid simply promoting your brand’s special features when telling your story. More often than not, doing so will only turn people off, making you lose potential customers in the process. Give your audience a story that is helpful and relevant to them. For example, if your target audience is people who play games without WiFi, then figure out a way to smoothly incorporate that into the story. Instead of putting the focus on your brand, direct the spotlight over to your audience by presenting a solution to a problem, answering a question, or even just offering free and unique entertainment.

  • Your story is bigger than what you do.

In order to craft an effective story, you must realize that your story is much bigger than what you do. Focus on the larger picture about your company. Tell the audience what your brand stands for, how you develop products and services, and why you do what you do. Your goal as a company is to meet needs, answer questions, and connect with your audience, so do your best to exemplify that with the story you whip up.

  • Speak to your audience in their language.

Maintaining the voice your brand carries on all platforms is important in order to stay consistent and familiar. Adapt to the needs and preference of your audience by using a voice that communicates well to them. Make an effort to appear approachable and personable to them, with the hope of increasing engagement through the stories you tell.

  • Give your brand a face.

Establishing a personal connection with potential customers will require you to give your brand a face. Having a real person to tell your story to create a larger impact on your audience. Ultimately, your story will become more meaningful and gain more personality. This humanization of your brand presents you as genuine and engaging, which will attract a larger audience soon enough.

With storytelling, your aim is to entice your readers with an exciting journey that they will long to experience. And keep in mind that the stories you tell need to be original, genuine, and inspiring in order to build a personal connection between consumers and your brand. Just heed the advice mentioned above and soon enough you’ll find your horizons expanding to areas you’ve never reached before.
