MLM Success Stories: Interview with Mr. Narender Yadav

Hey there, today I’ll be interviewing another great MLM Leader in the series of MLM Success Stories that I bring for my readers. By the way you can find the previous interviews published on this blog here.

As always I will waste no time & get started with the Interview:

Lets welcome Mr. Narender Yadav ji, who has been a committed networker ever since he is known to me.

1. Narender ji, Please introduce yourself to our readers?

Hello Vineet & all, I’m Narender Yadav, served for 26 years for Government of India for Defence service  and also worked for Intelligence services prior taking voluntary retirement in Apr 2011.

2. In your words what is Network Marketing & How you come into Network Marketing?

First I would like to answer the second part of your question. Post voluntary retirement, I worked as Dy GM in one company and administrator in other corporate. Although the pay n perks were good but as you know it also carried work pressure n stress as well. So obviously I was not happy with my job.

On one Saturday evening one of my old friend smartly invited me to attend a Network Marketing meeting (which I was not knowing at that time) scheduled on Sunday  afternoon without mentioning the topic or purpose of meeting. The meeting was very impressive. I liked the concept of working for “Self”  instead of working for someone else which gradually would lead you towards “Financial Freedom” because of “Leverage and Duplication system”.

That was my first exposure to “Network Marketing”. Since I was not so happy with my job because of reasons mentioned above and the meeting gave me the  convincing  logic for doing your own business,  I joined immediately and it has been a fantastic journey thereafter.

As far as Ist part of your question is concerned, in my opinion Network Marketing is best described as “Moving a product or service directly from manufacturer to customer using a network of large group of distributors or group of entrepreneurs”.

Some people call it Direct Selling because product is directly sold from manufacturer to customer eliminating the middleman. Others call it Multi Level Marketing “MLM” because commissions are paid at multi levels by the company. But most trending name today is Network Marketing.

In traditional business companies spent upto 50% of their total revenue on marketing but Network Marketing companies use different approach. Instead of having that entire expensive marketing route, companies utilize the network of independent distributors to do the marketing for them and distribute the saved amount among them.

Now why they do this ? First, because it’s word of mouth – 85% of our buying decisions are made from word of mouth. Secondly, some products needs to be explained or demonstrated and an independent distributor can do it more effectively than an add campaign. Thirdly, it’s completely efficient. The company only pays for marketing of their product if the sale happens and not before.

3. Agree with you. By the way what is YOUR REASON to do Network Marketing business?

As I told you earlier, I was impressed with the concept of becoming an entrepreneur with low investment or infect No investment where you need not to build infrastructure, hire employees, take Govt. approvals, pay huge taxes and lot more other hassles.

Since it is a team work and just like other traditional businesses, this business also gives leverage of other people’s time, effort and skill. What I liked the most is that people in your team, although work for themselves but you get the benefit of their time, effort and skill.

But obvious, in return to their efforts you support them in building their business, train them and inspire them, guide them and help them in achieving their financial goals. I think there is no other business like Network Marketing where everyone is supporting each other to reach to their financial goals, become an entrepreneur and celebrate their achievements together.

4. Cool! What you will suggest to people who have just started with Network Marketing?

I would like to suggest two basic things to newbies:-

a) Knowledge – One must acquire complete knowledge about this new business or rather I would like to call new upcoming profession. Although it will take time to get acquainted with the complete knowledge but he/she must fully understand the basics of the business so that when they approach someone for their business they should be able to face & reply questions like “Oh is this same chain system or member making scheme?” knowledge is also very important for developing self-confidence and belief required to succeed in this business.

b) Start Part Time Only – Acquiring knowledge of business, product and other associated things will take some time and therefore income from this new business may be very low initially. So if someone jumps in this business full time, he may soon get frustrated because of low income and may quit this beautiful profession.

I always advise to do it part time after working hours everyday and on week ends so that he/she need not to worry about his survival. This way he can happily and excitedly work for his dreams.

5. That’s really great piece of Information. Narender ji, many people face difficulties in Lead Generation in Network Marketing. How do you generate leads?

Well, the best way of generating the leads is to add two new contacts daily in your list. We interact with so many people everyday in the course of our daily life routines. I find some or other topic to talk to unknown person by praising his dressing sense or his personality or his way of talking or if nothing else than I start talking about weather or some current  topic and engage him in conversation and exchange the business/visiting cards. So I think this is the best way of generating leads which I follow.

6. How do you manage to keep yourself & your Team Motivated?

This is very essential question you have asked. I called it essential because if you are not motivated you are out of business. There are many ways to keep yourself motivated like attending weekly Business Orientation Programmes (BOP), company seminars and other functions, training events and watching videos, listening audio’s and reading network marketing and self development books.

I follow all of these ways and keep myself always motivated. Once my team members  see me motivated they follow the same step, because your team is nothing but your reflection.

7. And, how People react when they know you are into Network Marketing?

Oh  come on Vineet, you know the answer. I am no different from others. I think reaction of the people who know nothing about network marketing is same for everyone and everywhere. They will start avoiding you and will cook some rumours behind you and things like that.

But yaar I don’t find any fault  in them. This is because they are ignorant to this business. The people who know the benefits of this business, behaves positively.

8. Do you really believe that Network Marketing can change someone`s life?

Of course it can and it is doing for so many people. But the only condition is that one must be ready to change his life. He should follow the system, acquire knowledge, develop the confidence, belief, skills, lots of patience and hard work.

9. Tell us: What do you do when you aren’t doing business?

I am always hungry for knowledge. I read Network Marketing and self development books, watch training videos and  even listen audio’s whenever I am driving so that I am always updated.

10. Very True, even I Love reading books! Lastly, Any Secret Tip or Message you like to share to help fellow Network Marketers?

I think there is no secret left in the Network Marketing business. In this information era, everyone is much more advance in accessing and gathering knowledge. My only suggestion is ” Be connected to system, develop your skills, keep updated and Never quit”.
