Have you just started a new blog? Or you have been blogging for a while, and hoping to get success shortly. Whatever the case maybe someway down the line you would want to become a top blogger.
So what does it take to become a Top Blogger?
Is it MONEY? Lots of it.
Or is it LUCK?
Sadly it is neither of them. If it would have been so why would business fail then?
If you are thinking that I am going to share some secret formulae today, which will help you to become a top blogger overnight, then you should leave right now. If there were such secret recipes, won’t there be hundreds and thousands of top bloggers? Why would bloggers fail then?
Let us analyse what are things you should keep in mind if you want to become a top blogger.
#1. Passion
Passion is essential for the success of any job. If you are into blogging, and you don’t have passion, then you ought to fail. Blogging should not be a task or job for you. You should love doing it.
There maybe some bloggers who started just to earn money and developed passion gradually. But there are very rare.
Why does an IITian leaves his high paying job and becomes an entertainer or a writer? Passion is the answer to this. You can’t give your 100 percent to any task if you are not passionate about it. It can be a pain for you.
#2. Patience
Patience is very important for any blogger. If you don’t have enough of it, then you won’t be able to stay in the blogging industry.
Web sites take the time to grow. It maybe 3 or 6 or 12 months. You cannot hope to get success overnight.
Most top bloggers had to wait as long as eight months to earn their first dollar. They knew that their hard work wouldn’t go to waste. They were serious. Are you?
#3. Taking Risks
It is sometimes very difficult to take risks. What if I fail?
Do you always get awesome ideas about your blog but you always ignore them because you are afraid of failing?
This is because you are not ready to take risks. What if Mark Zuckerberg thought the same thing when he started Facebook? He would not have been where he is currently.
I agree that taking risks is not easy. But what if it works for you. Won’t that be great?
Take calculated risks. It is very important to become successful.
#4. Creativity
Blogging needs a lot of creativity. You may see most blogs copying each other’s design, topics, etc. but the fact is that when it comes to creativity in blogging the “sky is the limit”.
The main aim of blogging is to convey your message to your readers and the way you do it is left to you. It can be via text, images, charts, videos, infographics and much more. You can be creative in portraying your thoughts across your audience. Its upto you how you do it.
#5. Writing Skills
Writing is the basic skill a blogger requires. Your words speak for your blog. To become a famous blogger it will ultimately decide your readership for your blog.
I’m not telling you should be an expert in writing because your not writing for a newspaper or a magazine. It should be such that your users clearly understand what you are trying to convey.
You can also improve your writing by using various tools such as Grammarly so your content remains free of errors.
#6. Willingness to Learn
I will start by a beautiful quote by Emile Hirsch –
The willingness to keep learning is, I think, the most important thing about trying to be good at anything. You never want to stop learning.
The willingness to learn should never end inside you.
[clickToTweet tweet=”The day you feel that you know everything is the day you have most to learn.” quote=”The day you feel that you know everything is the day you have most to learn.”]You may gain success eventually but don’t feel that’s enough. You should continue reading and learning.
Try to follow other top blogs in your niche and try to learn from their experience which they usually share on their blog. Blogging is not the regular Maths or Physics; things are changing each day. Try to be updated.
#7. Being Disciplined
Most jobs require you to be disciplined. But in blogging, you need to be little more because here you are the employer, and you are the boss. You should not to be care-free, only because you don’t have anyone to command you.
Every blogger should follow their day according to a timetable. Make sure you give appropriate time to each activity.
Separate time slots should be kept for only writing or for replying emails or for social promotion. That’s how many successful bloggers manage their work schedule.
#8. Think Big
Jorge Paulo says –
It takes the same effort to think small than to think big. But to think big frees you from the insignificant details.
As a blogger, you should focus on both small goals and big ones. Unless you plan big, you can’t hope for big successes. Maybe you have failed many times, but you shouldn’t stop thinking big.
Hope these tips will help you achieve new milestones in your journey of becoming a top blogger. Share the post if you find it useful. I love to hear your thoughts below in the comment section.
Nice Post.
Loved the concept. It is however not that easy to become a top blogger but we shouldn’t lose hope on it.
Quite a motivational post.

Awesome Man! Tuhin I’ve been Reading your blogs and guest posts across various platforms and I’m really falling for you. Hope we could speak to each other much more frequently. You helped me learn a lot!
After reading your blog today it seems my blog needs a total make over!
Hi Tuhin,
Passion! Patience! The 2 P’s rock. Carried me thru some wacky times to be the person I am today. Cool part: when you blog to have fun, to follow your passion, the patience happens as a by-product. We will always keep doing stuff we have fun doing. The problems arise when we chase money or vanity stats or fame. Then, the trouble starts, because impatience creeps in and causes us to do dumb stuff. Take it from a guy who’s done dumb stuff 🙂
Ryan

No doubt that all the points mentioned by you are the best points that one can take in his/her life to succeed in blogging line like passion, taking risks and all other. one thing I would like to add is that one needs to have a very high knowledge about the niche to write about.
I know a guy who is very good in this line
